There is a small town in a desert near the Arizona mesa towers / Utah border, and were it not for the 3 million visitors flock to the site each year, the words "middle of nowhere" might come to mind. It may be removed from any metropolis, but page is also the "gateway" to the wonders of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell, the hottest spot for water recreation in the state. The city was founded in 1957 to the 2,500 workers on the Glen Canyon Dam construction house, and their families. They were installed in the top of Manson Mesa supporters, who for seven years to build the dam.
